The Process

Based on the MR images, a virtual model of the joint is produced.

This model helps us to assess the condition of your cartilage and bone. Once your virtual joint model is finalised and the exact extent of your damage has been assessed, we can propose a unique solution for your defect, based on the amount of damage found.

This solution will then be included in a damage marking report. The report will be communicated to your surgeon and changes can be made to meet your personal needs and requirements.

All Episurf Damage Marking Reports are accompanied by a virtual, interactive 3D model. This model enables the surgeon to navigate through the knee/talus and add/remove structures and devices in order to get a better visualisation of the lesion, implant and cartilage.
